A scarf is arguably the most international fashion accessory that has ever existed. Women from every era and almost every corner of the globe have rocked a scarf in some fashion (:p) or the other. In India scarves are an essential part of clothing and often the way one ties a scarf expresses their identity. For example, there is: the Aunty, the Bollywood Actress and the farmer to name a few.
I try to incorporate my desi heritage in my personal style (like when I eat Rajma with Fettucine). Now that it is Fall, a scarf will help me do just that. I got this beautiful deep blue scarf from Nimli, a marketplace that showcases international, emerging independent accessory designers. Not only am I supporting a independent designer but I am also getting a unique accessory. With so many ways to wear a scarf, this will be an essential piece in my Fall wardrobe!
